About Joe Garecht

Joe Garecht has 20 years of experience helping non-profits raise more money so they can do more good in the world.  His specialty is helping organizations systemize their fundraising to dramatically increase the amount of money they raise.

Joe is a world-recognized fundraising consultant, author and speaker… and has helped countless non-profits escape the donor treadmill by finding new donors, making more asks, and building fundraising systems that get results.

His approach is simple — your organization does great work, and deserves to be able to raise the money it needs to thrive.

Joe is an expert at creating fundraising systems to help you find new donors, cultivate them, ask them for gifts, and steward them so that they give for a lifetime.

The fundraising systems Joe creates are tailored to each non-profit, and based on data-driven best practices and state-of-the-art fundraising strategies.

20 Years of Fundraising Experience

Prior to launching Garecht Fundraising Associates, Joe was the founder of The Fundraising Authority, the world’s largest provider of online fundraising training for non-profit organizations. Through The Fundraising Authority, Joe had the opportunity to train over 50,000 non-profit fundraisers, executives, and board members on all aspects of fundraising and development.

Joe previously served as the Executive Director of BLOCS: Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools and as the Development Director of The Philadelphia Children’s Alliance. He was the editor of The Non-Profit Fundraising Digest and is a graduate of Rutgers University.

As a consultant, Joe has worked with hundreds of non-profit organizations to help them raise more money and build better development programs. He also has considerable experience as a fundraising consultant to political organizations.

Joe is also the creator of Go Beyond Clients, a website that helps freelancers and consultants – including non-profit fundraising consultants and freelance grantwriters – learn how to build passive income streams for their businesses.

Planned giving and major gifts go hand-in-hand.

Some planned gifts can also be major gifts, and some major gifts will inspire planned gifts. Planned giving research is also a great way to identify potential major donors.
